Lower Elementary Biology: Amphibians, A Year-Long Study
The Lower Elementary One students dive into the fascinating world of amphibians with a year-long study - starting with observing tadpoles! As part of our extensive, hands-on biology curriculum, these students have the opportunity to observe the life cycle of these amazing creatures firsthand.
This classroom now has a small aquarium housing tadpoles, allowing students to watch them grow and transform into frogs. Through this engaging experience, they will learn about amphibian anatomy, research their natural habitats, and study the importance of healthy ecosystems.
In addition to direct observation, students will participate in interactive lessons and activities, encouraging curiosity and scientific inquiry. This initiative not only enhances understanding of biological concepts but also fosters a sense of responsibility and care for living organisms (in addition to the birds and Rosy).
Stay tuned for updates on our tadpole adventures as we explore the wonders of nature right in the classroom!
