Board of Trustees

The relationship between a Board of Trustees and an independent school is vital. The Board supports the Harborlight Montessori mission and acts strategically to protect the long-term best interests of the school and its students.

Eileen Caruso, President (P '30)
Eileen Caruso, a member of the Harborlight community since 2017, has two wonderful daughters, Rose (’29) and Josephine (’35). Professionally, Eileen leads Education Development Center’s portfolio of domestic early childhood initiatives. As a member of the Harborlight Board of Trustees, she contributes her expertise in nonprofit management and fiscal operations and brings strategic business experience in support of sustainability planning, business development, networking building, and quality improvement. She holds an M.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.

Brandi Johnson, Vice President (P '28)
Brandi, the mother of Nevaeh ’28, has worked at Endicott College since 2008 in a variety of student-facing roles.  She currently holds the title of Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer.  Brandi has a M.Ed. from Lesley University, a M.S. with a focus in Organizational Leadership from Regis College, and a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. An AmeriCorps alum, Brandi served two years working with inner city youth in Boston and has held multiple roles at several other educational organizations, including Regis College, Brookline Public Schools, UMass Amherst, Boston Public Schools, and Citizen Schools.  Dedicated to serving her community, in addition to being a member of the Board of Trustees at Harborlight, she is a Grant follow-up site visitor for the Cummings Foundation, a regular guest speaker at area high schools, and has delivered keynote addresses at numerous diversity and belonging seminars.

Aime Hutton Crawford, Clerk (P '29, '33)
Amie is the SVP of Client Services at 3Q/DEPT where she oversees client-facing teams and drives account plans and relationships for 3Q’s clients, while also serving as an advisor, coach, and mentor to digital marketing professionals on the team. Amie is the mother of two amazing daughters, Lana (8) and Alexandra (3) who have both attended Harborlight since 2020. A former Division 1 field hockey player, strong DEIB advocate, Amie earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Providence College.

John Cusolito, Trustee (P '18)
John was Vice President of Corporate Public Relations at Liberty Mutual Insurance, where he worked for nearly 40 years.  John and Doreen are parents to Matthew and reside in Wenham.  He was co-chair of the Harborlight Fund and has participated in various committees and activities at Harborlight over the years.  John is a communications consultant to the Brotherhood of Hope, a volunteer at Acord Food Pantry in Hamilton and the Meals-on-Wheels program in Hamilton and Wenham.  He is past co-chair of the Hamilton Wenham Edfund and a current member of the Hamilton Wenham Recreation Board.

Dean Tsouvalas, Trustee

Dean is currently the Executive Director of Content and Marketing at St. George's University. For almost three decades he has been specializing in crafting compelling brand narratives through storytelling. His journey of innovation includes roles in television, digital, print, and social media, embracing disruption and empowering organizations for the digital transformation era. Dean is a recognized digital media thought leader, educator, and journalist. A St. John's Preparatory High School graduate, Dean holds a BA in Communications with a minor in Secondary Education from Stonehill College and resides in Hamilton, MA, as a dedicated husband and father of three.
